PIERRE & FLORENT

Working as a duo since 2010, Pierre and Florent met through a shared passion for experimental and documentary imagery.

Their first project, entitled Heroes under the waves (2010–2013), places performance at the heart of their photographic and video experimentation. By combining staging and costume, fiction and performance, they address themes such as the loss of meaning among new generations and the emergence of new heralds.

`

Subsequently, their experimentation with studio photography led them to explore new themes. With Les idiots de l'image (2013 – 2014), they questioned identities, their clichés, and the distortion of reality through the genres of self-portrait and autofiction.

Represented by the Pristine gallery in Monterrey, Mexico, they have already been exhibited in Mexico, the United States (San Diego) and Europe (Paris, Brussels, Charleroi).

Since 2019, alongside their work as photographers and directors for fashion and music, they have been creating a series of intimate portraits through clothing, a project that reconnects with their taste for performance and staging. This project, entitled "Mémoire habillée" (Dressed Memory), was presented for the first time in October 2023 as part of the Rencontres Photographiques du 10e (Photographic Encounters of the 10th Arrondissement) at Galerie Porte B in Paris.
