ABOUT

Founded in October 2022 by Charlotte Delafond, the Porte B. gallery is located in a former carpet warehouse in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. Far from the traditional codes of the art gallery, it sees itself as a playground for the contemporary art scene and its audiences – a space for initiation, exchange and experimentation.

Conceived as a constantly evolving research space, Porte B. hosts emerging French artists for site-specific, multidisciplinary, and socially engaged projects. The walls, the ceiling, every nook and cranny of the space become autonomous surfaces, transformed by each intervention. The entrance hall, designed as a decompression chamber, immediately immerses visitors in the world of the invited artists.

The program, focused on contemporary photography, visual arts, and performance, highlights approaches that question our ways of being and perceiving the world. The gallery notably presents the works of Tiffany Bouelle, Marguerite Bornhauser, Alexia Chevrollier, Victor Cord'homme, Benoît Lefeuvre, and the duo Pierre and Florent.

Porte B. uses a variety of presentation formats – exhibitions, publications, screenings, readings – and strives to renew the dialogue between artworks, artists, and the public. It collaborates occasionally with institutions, publishers, and independent festivals.
