On the occasion of the inauguration of their new space, the 28 OCTOBRE agency is hosting the "Dressed Memory" series by Pierre & Florent.

 

The series "Dressed Memory", a window into the intimate lives of its inhabitants, exists at the boundaries of performance, documentary, and autofiction. Family, friends, and strangers have agreed to reveal a part of their lives through words, clothing, and objects, telling stories, questioning their connection to objects, time, their relationship with their environment, their history, their own image, and their place in society. Dressing up is often a choice of how to present oneself to the world. Occupation, affiliation, déguisement, camouflage, ou acte politique, les vêtements sont omniprésents dans nos vies. It says "something" about each of us, that we try to control, but sometimes escape. We accumulate clothes, accessories, and objects. They sometimes span ages, pass from hand to hand, are stored, piled up, often forgotten, but also rediscovered, rehabilitated, and sacralized. To better expose oneself, oneself dresses.
