IS THERE A ROOM FOR GAME?

GROUP SHOW

Tiffany Bouelle - Eri Maeda - Romain Lalire - Camille Ménard - Vincent Marcq - Victor Cord'homme

An exhibition produced in collaboration with the Porte B. gallery and Agathe Anglionin - From April 26 to May 10, 2025

What connection can be made between a bulldozer picking a daisy, a cannonball transformed into a remote control, or a deserted carousel world?

At first glance, these works may seem amusing, even absurd. Yet, each one is rooted in a troubling context, and the smile they provoke can give way to deeper reflection, or even a genuine awakening of awareness.

Our contemporary society sometimes gives the impression of skimming the surface of things and events, swept along in the incessant flow of social media and digital demands. Thus, a gap is widening between reality and the optimistic narrative imposed upon us. The artists gathered in this exhibition speak to us, through their works, of this reality where, beneath an apparent lightness, an omnipresent alienation shines through. They have chosen satire because it strikes at the heart of the problems it denounces. By playing with irony, subversion, and exaggeration, they humorously draw our attention to better reveal the flaws of our time and their impact on modern identity.
