On the occasion of the Venice Biennale, Tiffany Bouelle takes over the Fondazione Maddalena Di Giacomo, housed within the Palazzo Vallier, with The Room of Wishes (La Salle des Vœux). Initially conceived as a mural intervention, the fresco gradually expands to inhabit an entire room, transforming the space into an immersive experience.

The installation is built upon a continuity between architecture, color, and painterly gesture. It creates a living environment activated by light and the visitor’s movement, where painting enters into a direct dialogue with the site.

The project is accompanied by an inaugural performance, as well as two works from the Flowers Are Born in the Ruins series.

The phoenix, a recurring motif in the artist’s work, embodies the idea of rebirth: that of a palace rising again after destruction, but also that of an inner regeneration. Birds, omnipresent throughout the space, become symbols of freedom, transition, and awakening.
