Victoria Tanto
Trained at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in design, textiles, and materials, Victoria Tanto first honed her skills in the world of miniatures, notably through collaborations with Chanel’s set designers. There, she crafted delicate miniature vegetation for haute couture show models.
Her works, composed of kilometers of twisted and embroidered thread, play with textures and contrasts to create organic volumes. From patiently twisted and assembled threads, she generates complex structures reminiscent of natural cartographies—both microscopic and monumental.Alongside her personal artistic practice, Victoria’s deep connection to materials has led her to expand into commissioned photography, supporting artists, artisans, and cultural institutions by documenting their creative processes.
