Clara Tournay is a visual artist born in 1996, living and working between Paris and the Vosges region. After studying business, she specialized in art history at the École du Louvre in 2023. She has developed a cross-disciplinary practice combining painting, sculpture, and photography. Her first solo exhibition was held in 2022 at the Galerie du Crous des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

Her work has been featured in various exhibitions in galleries and institutions. She extends her practice to performance art and public spaces, notably during Nuit Blanche. For this event, the City of Paris produced a web documentary about her project, "The Sea We See Dancing," in 2025. That same year, she won the Puvis de Chavannes Prize from the Beaux-Arts Foundation, after having received the AMMA Audience Award from the Panthéon-Sorbonne University in 2022. In 2024, she participated in an artist residency at the Saint Anthony Chapel in Naxos, Greece, culminating in a solo site-specific exhibition.

Thus, Clara Tournay's work questions what escapes our gaze. An exploration of the threshold, of the in-between, of the passage from the formless to the tangible. It illuminates the phenomena that work on matter and offers the viewer an experience where time, memory, and perception converge.
