NO MAN'S LAND
GROUP SHOW
Amélie Bernard - Victor Cord'homme - Raphaël Guez - Prosper Legault - Vincent Marcq - Vasco Mourão - Jeanne Varaldi
From October 8 to November 26, 2022
Starting from the ruins of its original building, Porte B. has reclaimed its materials and walls to create a new type of space. Open-plan and modular, it adapts and transforms with each intervention. It is a platform in perpetual flux, a creative space permeable to the world. For its inaugural exhibition, Porte B. has symbolically chosen to extend its playing field beyond the gallery walls and to examine its immediate environment: the city. Entitled No Man's Land, this exhibition, which brings together seven young French and European artists, seeks to reconsider our relationship to urban space. Sometimes poetic and playful, like the unusual combinations of Victor Cord'homme, the digital collages of Raphaël Guez or the fragmentary installations of Jeanne Varaldi and Vasco Mourão, sometimes intimate and disturbing, with the epidermal walls of Amélie Bernard, the visions of dehumanized habitats of Vincent Marcq or the vestiges of signs by Prosper Legault, these different appropriations of urban space enrich our imagination to allow us to rethink the city and to inhabit it differently.
