ARLES

Dressed Memory, Pierre & Florent

For its first participation in the Off Arles Festival, the gallery porte B is presenting a solo exhibition by the duo Pierre & Florent titled "Dressed Memory".

At the intersection of fashion, performance, documentary, and autofiction, this project presents a series of portraits created through an accumulation of chosen clothing and objects. Family, friends, and strangers have agreed to reveal a part of their lives by questioning their relationship with their environment, their history, their own image, and their place in society. Each protagonist is perched atop their dome, a symbol of their memories and life. This dome, formed by a pile of clothes, is also a reflection of our consumerist societies. Without even realizing it, our clothes reflect our profession, our belonging, but can also be a disguise, a camouflage, or even a political act.
