Flesh Earth
Béatrice Bissara
September 3 - 20, 2025
Born out of research into the sensitive links between the body and its surroundings, "Flesh Earth" explores how our perceptions can reconnect with the living. Through simple gestures—touching, feeling, breathing, listening—the exhibition invites us to rediscover a sensitive and attentive presence. Béatrice Bissara immerses us in a world where sensations take precedence over narrative. Her engraved paintings, inspired by Aboriginal pointillism, depict vibrant forms evoking interior landscapes. Around them, sound ceramics, whisper books, and objects activated by breath or sound revive a sensory memory that is often set aside. Sounds captured in nature - vibrations of plants, birdsongs - textures and scents, blend to create a sensory universe. Far from simply observing, the visitor is invited to inhabit each work.

In the continuation of her research on presence, connection, and care, Béatrice Bissara creates a sensory ecosystem. Each work becomes a point of entry into an experience where the living reveals itself in its richness and fragility. "Flesh Earth" thus opens the door to a more sensitive and attentive way of inhabiting the world.
