What connection can be made between a bulldozer picking a daisy, a cannonball turned into a remote control, or a deserted carousel-world?

At first glance, these works may seem amusing, even absurd. Yet each one is rooted in a troubling context, and the smile they provoke can give way to deeper reflection—or even a true awakening.

Our contemporary society sometimes feels as though it skims the surface of things and events, swept away by the constant flow of social media and digital distractions. As a result, a growing gap forms between reality and the optimistic narrative we are fed. The artists brought together in this exhibition speak to us, through their works, of this reality where, beneath an apparent lightness, a pervasive alienation is revealed.

They have chosen satire because it strikes at the heart of the very issues it denounces. By playing with irony, distortion, and exaggeration, they capture our attention through humor in order to better expose the flaws of our era and their effects on modern identity.
